According to reports, New York health officials recently issued a ban that came days before a wedding was set to take place, one that was reportedly supposed to have “upwards of 10,000 individuals.” The news was confirmed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
In a briefing that went down this past Saturday, Cuomo noted state officials got word of the event following a warning issued by Rockland County’s Sheriff’s Office. The warning was against people attending the event that violated the gathering limits, which is capped at 50 people.
NYC’s health commissioner,,—Dr. Howard Ducker reportedly signed an order that stopped the mass gather that was set to take place at the Hasidic synagogue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Monday. Since then, players for the event say guests outside of close family will not be allowed to attend.
