According to reports, a Florida man mistook a noise outside his bedroom window to be a potential home intruder and fatally shot his pregnant wife. Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told reporters that the man frantically called 911, telling authorities he accidentally shot his wife. The woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead, but doctors delivered the baby, who remains in critical condition.
Authorities say the man gave a detailed account of what happened, but the case is still under investigation.
