Authorities in Florida are looking for a man who allegedly beat his wife on the interstate after blowing a tire. Witnesses say after the man beat his wife he attempted to push her into oncoming traffic.
Florida Highway Patrol received several calls on Thursday morning about a woman being beaten on the southbound side of the I-75 in Pasco County.
When troopers arrived, they found a Dodge Ram with a blown tire and witnesses gathered around the female victim.
Witnesses told authorities "the truck had suffered a tire blowout while the woman was driving. That’s when her husband yanked the steering wheel, nearly sending the truck and its trailer out of control before it came to a stop along the outside shoulder."
After an argument ensued, the woman's husband, Joey Edward Morgan, allegedly yanked her by her hair and tried dragging the woman into oncoming traffic. After this, Morgan began punching and head-butting his wife of 12 years. He threatened to kill her before fleeing the scene on foot and slipping into the woods.
