Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Reveal The Loss Of Their Newborn Son

John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen, announced the unbelievably devastating news that their third child who they were going to name Jack, has died after she was admitted to hospital needing two blood transfusions over the weekend.

John Legend, 41, and Chrissy Teigen, 34, shared the sad news that their third child has died in a series of undeniably heartwrenching social media posts. The power couple announced last month that they were expecting another little boy alongside their four-year-old daughter Luna, and two-year-old son Miles, but over the weekend Chrissy was hospitalised for "excessive bleeding".

Taking to Instagram, she posted a heartbreaking series of photos from her hospital bed in tears.

"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before," she wrote.

"We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.

"We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever."

She apologized to their little boy for the "complications" in his first moments of life and that she was sorry they "couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive".

"Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers. We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you," she continued.

"We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine.

"On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it."

hortly after announcing the upsetting news, Chrissy then took to Twitter to further express her shock over the miscarriage.

"Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real," she wrote.

The four photos told the horrific tale, with the couple cradling their new born in their arms.

On Sunday, the cookbook author shared an update on her health, explaining that she has been on “super serious” bed rest for the last few weeks while experiencing complications halfway through her pregnancy.

Prayers and healing to their family.
