Rapper Casanova surrendered himself to authorities on Wednesday (December 2) evening after being included in a federal indictment against the "Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation" gang, which included 17 other people that were already arrested.
The 34-year-old Brooklyn native is facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, firearm possession, and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. If convicted, the racketeering charge carries a life sentence.
Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss commented on the case, stating, "Members of Gorilla Stone committed terrible acts of violence, trafficked in narcotics, and even engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic."
