Michael Lee Dudley, a Washington landlord, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Jessica Lewis, 35, and Austin Wenner, 27.
Documents indicate that Lewis and Wenner had been renting a room in Dudley's house, and that they had struggled to make the $1,500 monthly rent. On June 9, the three of them allegedly got into an argument after Dudley said he wanted them to move out. One neighbor said they heard a male voice say, "Please don't do this, just let me leave." Reports show that bullets and blood were found in the room the couple had stayed and the couple were killed on June 16.
The bodies of Lewis and Wenner happened to have been found by two teenagers who went to the location after an app took them there, and when they discovered two bodies wrapped in garbage bags and stuffed inside some suitcases, they filmed the incident and put it on TikTok.
Police say that Lewis, who is a mother of four, was shot a number of times. Wenner, died of a single gunshot wound.
Dudley is currently in jail with a bail set for $5 Million.
